    The Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby, the state’s most important Thoroughbred race, will be renewed for the 26th time on Sunday, Sept. 28 at Remington Park.

    The Oklahoma Derby headlines a stakes-laden card of racing that begins at 1:30pm.

    Oklahoma Derby Day consists of plenty of festivities making it the top racing event of the Thoroughbred Season at Remington Park. On the schedule: Food Truck Party; The Derby Lawn Party; Horse-drawn Carriage Rides at the Racing Entrance; Live Music and the Oklahoma Wine & Craft Beer Tasting Festival and the ultra-popular Derby Day Hat & Tie Style Contest.

    The annual Oklahoma Derby Day Hat & Tie Style Contest takes place at 2pm on the Clubhouse level.

    This year’s contest includes multiple prize divisions for Best Ensemble, Best Historical Period, Most Creative, Most Elegant, Best Couple and Best Overall. Cash and Prizes totaling more than $3,000 will be on the line in this year’s contest for the ladies and men that compete.
