Makes his Remington Park debut in the Oklahoma Derby.

Was claimed out of his career debut in January at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Ark. for $30,000 by Langford, away from trainer Al Stall, Jr. and owners/breeders Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider, the connections of Oklahoma Derby morning-line favorite Departing.

Carve will be trainer Steve Asmussen’s 18th starter in the Oklahoma Derby. He has had a trio of runner-up finishes with Easyfromthegitgo (2002), Real Dandy (2005) and Reporting For Duty (2007). The 18th starter will tie him with Donnie Von Hemel for most saddled for the Oklahoma Derby.

Carve was undefeated thru his first two starts. Since joining the stakes ranks after that, his best finish is a third in the $100,000 Long Branch Stakes at Monmouth Park in New Jersey.

Training well over the past month at Remington Park, Carve will be ridden by Ricardo Santana, Jr. who is making his first start in the Oklahoma Derby.
