Holiday Mischief
Owner: Joe Offolter and Carter Thoroughbreds (Colleyville, TX)
    Trainer: Joe Offolter
    Jockey: Cliff Berry

    Morning Line Odds: 12-1

One of just two in the Oklahoma Derby with wins at Remington Park (Texas Bling the other), Holiday Mischief broke his maiden here as a 2-year-old defeating, among others, He Has Bling who was last in the field of 12 in the mile race.

Holiday Mischief was fourth in the $100,000 Clever Trevor Stakes here in November… In his second race as a 3-year-old, Holiday Mischief finished second in the $50,000 Texas Heritage Stakes at Sam Houston Race Park behind Departing, the morning-line favorite for the Oklahoma Derby.

A win in the $100,000 Prelude Sakes at Louisiana Downs in Bossier City, earned him a trip to the Grade 2, $500,000 Super Derby where he was seventh, behind Departing.

Offolter will saddle just his second starter in the Oklahoma Derby. He had Demand Deposit in the 1997 running, finishing seventh behind Wild Rush.

Jockey Cliff Berry will attempt to win his third Oklahoma Derby. He won with Comic Truth (2003) and Mr. Pursuit (2006). If Berry wins, he’ll become just the second jockey to win the race three times, joining Garrett Gomez (1993, 1995, 2001).
