HALF THE FIELD SET FOR FIRST MILLION-DOLLAR REMINGTON PARK RACE, MISS SIN TACHA IS THE FASTEST QUALIFIER

OKLAHOMA CITY – The first night of trials for the $1,140,000 Heritage Place Futurity was conducted Friday at Remington Park with Miss Sin Tacha putting up the top time over eight events.

Owned by Bob and Jerry Gaston of Seguin, Texas, Miss Sin Tacha made her career debut a winning one. Trained by Heath Taylor and ridden by G.R. Carter, Miss Sin Tacha handled 350 yards in :17.636 over the fast track.

A total of five qualified for the Heritage Place Futurity, the first million-dollar race in Remington Park history, to be run on Sunday, June 1. The five from Friday trials includes: Miss Sin Tacha; Rarely Makes It Home, :17.657; Corona Fireball, :17.736; Eyesa Dreamin, :17.789 and Chilled Wine, :17.838.

There will be five more runners qualified for the Heritage Place Futuity through eight trials to be conducted at Remington Park on Saturday night.

Taylor and Carter teamed up for three winners overall on the Friday program.
Miss Sin Tacha, Shesa Firstdown Jess ($3.20 to win) in race eight and Royally Streak in the last race.

Taylor now has 21 wins on the season, good for third-place among trainers, behind Luis Villafranco (26) and Guillermo Valdivia (20).  Carter’s Triple expands his lead in the jockey standings to 68 wins compared to 29 for the next competitors, Kenny Muntz and Larry Payne (each with 29 wins).

The Pick Six numbers on Friday night were 2-4-6-4-9-5 or 6. There were multiple winning tickets, each worth $6,212. The consolation on five of six correct paid $31.

The second night of Heritage Place Futurity trials takes place Saturday with eight trials comprising the final eight races on the program. The first post time is 6:25 p.m.
