OKLAHOMA CITY – Remington Park’s $22,850 allowance feature on Friday was riddled with physical activity as many in the field of eight were compromised to some degree. That was not the case for Chickinabrownwrapper who avoided contact from her inside post to score by a head.

Owned by Manny Silva of Rockton, Ill. and trained by David Brown, Chickinabrownwrapper defeated seven 3-year-old fillies with Adalberto Candanosa aboard. The Oklahoma-bred handled the 400 yards in :20.042 over a fast track.

Lanes Wrangler gained late for second while Time To Turn On was third.

At 7-2 in the wagering Chickinabrownwrapper paid $9.20 to win, $4.80 to place and $3.60 to show. Lanes Wrangler returned $11.60 to place and $5.80 to show. Time To Turn On paid $5.40 to show.

The victory was the second from 12 career starts for Chickinabrownwrapper, a 3-year-old filly by Fit to Fly from the Chicks Beduino mare Like This Chick. The winner’s share of $14,042 boosts the lifetime earnings for Chickinabrownwrapper to $30,935.

The Pick Six numbers Friday were 8-5-10-6-9-1. Consolation payoffs of $32.60 went to tickets with four of six correct. The Pick Six carryover to Saturday night at Remington Park is $11,524.
