EMERGING SHORT DISTANCE SPECIALIST DADS ON A PROWL WINS SUDDEN IMPACT HANDICAP

OKLAHOMA CITY – Jack Wilson’s Dads On A Prowl won his second consecutive short-yardage stakes race on Sunday at Remington Park. The trophy for the 220-yard Sudden Impact Handicap was picked up after a resounding three-quarter length score.

Trained by Bonnie Wilson and ridden by Randy Wilson, Dads On A Prowl added the Sudden Impact to her win last month in the 100-yard Blink Of An Eye Handicap. The 4-year-old gray filly handled the 220 yards on Sunday in :12.011 over a fast track.

SV Black Eyed Susan, a short-yardage specialist in her own right, was second while Strawfly Sister was third.

Away at 3-1 odds, Dads On A Prowl paid $8.40 to win, $4.20 to place and $3.20 to show. SV Black Eyed Susan paid $8 to place and $5.80 to show. Strawfly Sister returned $5.20 to show.

A winner of six races from 16 career starts for the Wilson family of Vian, Okla., Dads On A Prowl won the fourth Remington Park race of here career. An Oklahoma-bred by Pals Real Royalcross from the Rare Form mare Dads My Hero, Dads On A Prowl earned $21,950 for the Sudden Impact triumph to push her career total to $122,672.

The Pick Six numbers on Sunday were 5-4-1-4-7-2. Tickets with five of six correct received $864. The Pick Six Carryover to Thursday night at Remington Park is $14,359.

The 20th Anniversary of racing will resume on Thursday at Remington Park with a nine-race program beginning at 6:25 p.m.
