SUPER-FILLY RACHEL ALEXANDRA RETURNS SATURDAY, REMINGTON PARK TO FEATURE BELMONT PARK RACE

OKLAHOMA CITY - Rachel Alexandra, the super-filly who defeated males in the Preakness Stakes in May to take the 2nd jewel of this year’s Triple Crown, is entered to compete this Saturday in the $300,000 Mother Goose Stakes at Belmont Park in N.Y. The Mother Goose is a Grade 1 event for 3-year-old fillies at 1-1/8 miles.
Remington Park will simulcast the entire Belmont Park program, featuring Rachel Alexandra, beginning at Noon on Saturday. The Mother Goose, race 9 on Saturday from Belmont, will go at 4:17pm (central).
Rachel Alexandra, will once again be ridden by Calvin Borel and will attempt to continue her six-race winning streak that began last November. Borel has been up for every race during her impressive win streak.
Rachel Alexandra is now saddled by trainer Steve Asmussen, the leading conditioner at Remington Park during the 2008 Thoroughbred Season. |
