XRAY VISION CONINUES IMPROVEMENT, STEPS INTO OPEN COMPANY FOR VICTORY
For Immediate Release
Saturday, November 30, 2013
OKLAHOMA CITY – After just missing victory in the Oklahoma Classics Lassie in mid-October, Xray Vision has put things together, winning two consecutive races. Saturday night at Remington Park, Xray Vision moved away from Oklahoma-breds to face open-company 2-year-old fillies. She also stretched out to go a mile for the first time, with no struggles.
Owned by Poindexter Thoroughbreds of Springfield, Mo. and trained by Lynn Chleborad, Xray Vision stayed within a length of the pace-setting Racing Holiday until midway through the second turn. Under Ramon Vazquez, Xray Vision took command at the top of the stretch and pulled clear to win by 2-1/4 lengths, crossing the finish in 1:41.38 over a fast track.
Discreet Girl was along for second with Cabana another neck back in third.
Away at 9-2 odds, Xray Vision paid $11.40 to win, $5.40 to place and $2.80 to show. Discreet Girl paid $4.60 to place and $3 to show. Cabana, the even-money wagering favorite, paid $2.10 to show.
Xray Vision has now won two of her four career starts, all this season at Remington Park. An Oklahoma-bred daughter of Pollard’s Vision from the Pollock’s Luck mare Lucky M, Xray Vision ran second in her first two career attempts, including missing the Oklahoma Classics Lassie score by just a half-length. She picked up $21,273 for the win to move her overall earnings to $66,132.
There are just seven race dates left in the 2013 Thoroughbred Season at Remington Park. Racing resumes Wednesday thru Saturday, Dec. 4-7, with a nightly start time of 7pm.
Open daily at 10:30am for casino gaming and simulcast racing, Remington Park also features the Bricktown Brewery on the casino floor. Admission, general parking and valet parking are always free at Remington Park, home of the $250,000 Springboard Mile for 2-year-olds, to be run on December 15, 2013.
Tracked by over 46,000 fans on Facebook and 4,700 Twitter followers, Remington Park is Oklahoma City’s only Racetrack & Casino and is located at the junction of Interstates 35 & 44, in the heart of the Oklahoma City Adventure District.
