OKLAHOMA CITY – The Opening Weekend of the 2015 Remington Park Thoroughbred Season is now just one week away as the 67-date meeting begins Friday, Aug. 14. Coinciding with the Opening Night is the beginning of the Friday Night Live online discussions with Horse Player NOW.

Hosted by noted racing experts Jeremy Plonk and Jerry Shottenkirk, Friday Night Live engages horse racing fans from the novice to the professional. The interaction takes place via computer, smart phones and tablet devices from coast-to-coast. Friday Night Live begins at 6:30pm, 30-minutes before the first race of the evening at 7pm. All times are Central.

“Our Friday Night Live sessions with Horse Player NOW have been extremely popular for many years,” according to Dale Day, Remington Park’s announcer who is also involved in the discussion that lasts approximately four hours. “The forum has introduced Remington Park’s thriving racing presentation to thousands of new fans and players across North America, all while simplifying horse racing’s intricacies into an understandable process for winning.”

“We try to be mentors each week, which not only means teaching the game, but being your sidekick at the track,” said Plonk, a former Remington Park analyst and founder of Horse Player NOW. “That means celebrating the wins and commiserating the tough beats that make handicapping such a dynamic pastime to share.”

In addition to the informative and lively conversation, Friday Night Live also offers participating guests free past performances, courtesy of Brisnet. A major partner with both Horse Player NOW and Remington Park, Brisnet has been heavily involved with extending the reach of horse racing to newer fans for years.
