OKLAHOMA CITY – TF Cajun Cartel broke on top and stayed on top to comfortably win the $51,650, Grade 2, Bob Moore Memorial Stakes for 3-year-olds and upward.

Trained by Fernando Carrete and owned by the trainer, along with Ascencion Fernandez, Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., the 4-year-old bay colt by Corona Cartel, out of the Mr Jess Perry mare, Dashadee, covered the 300 yards under jockey Ricky Ramirez in a time of :15.023 seconds over a fast track. TF Cajun Cartel earned $29,730 for the win, pushing his lifetime earnings to $189,071 with six wins in 14 starts.

TF Cajun Cartel won by a length over millionaire-earner Houdini with Mr Jo Eagle along for third.

He paid $15.40 to win, $10.60 to place and $7.40 to show. Houdini was off at 5-1 in his first start of 2016 and paid $7.60 to place and $3.60 to show. Mr Jo Eagle checked in to pay $3 to show. Win Rabbits Fly, winner of the Mighty Deck Three Stakes earlier this year at Remington Park, was the 2-1 favorite, but did not break sharply and never threatened.

The Bob Moore Memorial is named in honor of the Hall of Fame horseman who was prominent in American Quarter Horse racing for over four decades, operating from his Norman, Okla. farm.

Sunday afternoon Remington Park racing will feature the return to racing for 2015 All American Futurity winner Jess Good Candy in the $70,000 Mr Master Bug Stakes. Also in that race, the winner of the $1,170,000 Heritage Place Futurity in 2015, BV Midnite Express.

The Extreme Race Day for Charity also takes place on Sunday with Clydesdales, Zebras, Ostriches, Miniature Donkeys and Camels all competing on the track in between the regular horse racing program. The first Extreme Race is at 1pm Sunday with the first pari-mutuel horse race at the regular 1:30pm post. All times are Central.
