OKLAHOMA CITY – A marathon program of 17 trials for the Oklahoma Futurity was held Saturday at Remington Park. Ima China Rush was the top qualifier over 300 yards from the second trial of the session.

Owned and bred by Sherry Gilmore of Sallisaw, Okla. and trained by Guillermo Valdivia, Ima China Rush was ridden by Larry Payne. Flying from her outside post position, Ima China Rush won her trial by 1-1/4 lengths in :15.229 seconds over a muddy track. The surface was dampened due to a light, misting rain, which concluded early in the program.

A filly by Rushago from the PYC Paint Your Wagon mare Ima Pyc China Doll, Ima China Rush finished ahead of two others in her trial that also made the final. Chasin My Desire and Krash Master, second and third behind Ima China Rush, also made the Oklahoma Futurity.
