OKLAHOMA CITY – The 2017 American Quarter Horse Season is underway at Remington Park but training races continued on Wednesday with Streakin Seis Corona posting the best effort.

Owned by Terry & Irene Stennett of Odessa, Texas, Streakin Seis Corona is trained by Trey Wood and was ridden by Edwuin Lujan. The 2-year-old gelding flew from the starting gate quickly, then dueled for the lead while completely hand-ridden before pulling away. Streakin Seis Corona crossed the finish in :13.383 seconds over a fast track for 250 yards.

An Oklahoma-bred son of Tres Seis from the Corona Cartel mare Streakin Cash Corona, Streakin Seis Corona put up the best time of the day into an 8mph headwind. The training races were conducted under sunny skies with temperatures in the high 40s.

Remington Park now moves into its normal Thursday thru Sunday weekly schedule with racing this week from March 16-19. The first race is 6pm nightly except Sunday afternoon when the action is underway at 1:30pm.
