OKLAHOMA CITY – Sunday’s $18,000 allowance feature at Remington Park was won by 19-1 longshot Dotty Danger who used a sharp start to roll on to a half-length victory.

Owned by Jahree Standridge of Coalgate, Okla. and trained by Luis Villafranco, Dotty Danger won her second career start from seven lifetime attempts while ridden by Mario Delgado. The 3-year-old Texas-bred filly handled 330 yard in 16.984 seconds over a fast track. Fast N Furious Jr was second while Crying Eagle was 1-1/2 lengths behind the winner in third.

The longshot Dotty Danger paid $40 to win, $15.20 to place and $12.60 to show. Fast N Furious Jr paid $9.20 to place and $10.80 to show. Crying Eagle returned $6.20 to show. Mr Candy Reason was the betting favorite at 5-2 odds, running fourth.

Dotty Danger, a daughter of Foose from the Strawfly Special mare Strawfly Sting, earned $10,530 to run her career money to $23,654.

Leading Horsemen
The victory on Dotty Danger gives Delgado his 11th win of the season and placed him into a tie atop the jockey standings with Ricky Ramirez after 11 days of the 50-date American Quarter Horse Season at Remington Park.

Trey Wood leads all trainers with nine victories while Guillermo Valdivia is second with eight wins.

The Remington Park season continues March 30-April 2. Racing is underway at 6pm Thursday thru Saturday with Sunday afternoon racing at 1:30pm. Sunday, March 26 with the first race at 1:30pm. The Grade 1, $100,000 Leo Stakes is the main event next week on Saturday, April 1.
