OKLAHOMA CITY – Thursday’s $16,575 allowance feature at Remington Park was hotly contested throughout the entire 350 yards before going to Bye Bye Freighttrain by a head over Bloomer Ride.

Owned and bred in Oklahoma by L.P. Frank of Bokchito, Okla., Bye Freighttrain is trained by Kasey Willis. Jockey Cesar Gomez had the mount as the 4-year-old gelding outlasted Bloomer Ride to the finish in 17.579 seconds over a fast track. Mr Jo Eagle was the beaten even-money favorite, finishing third, a half-length behind the winner.
Bye Bye Freighttrain was at 4-1 odds in the wagering and paid $10 to win, $4.80 to place and $3.40 to show. Bloomer Ride paid $5.40 to place and $3 to show. Mr Jo Eagle paid $2.40 to show.
A son of Freighttrain B from the Takin On The Cash mare Bye Bye Bygones, Bye Bye Freighttrain won his sixth race from 20 career starts and his second overall at Remington Park. He picked up $10,025 for the victory to boost his lifetime earnings to $230,921.
