OKLAHOMA CITY – National Hall of Fame trainer Steve Asmussen and his main jockey at Remington Park, Richard Eramia, teamed up for three victories on Saturday. The trio of wins helped expand the season lead for both horsemen in the local standings.

The three-win night began in the opening race as Proud To Live Free ($4.40 to win) broke his maiden status for owner Maggi Moss of Des Moines, Iowa. The pair then won the second race to win the daily double when Factor Of War ($3.60) took his second straight turf event of the season. Owned by Willis Horton Racing of Marshall, Ark., Factor Of War rallied up the rail to continue his streak, winning at 1-1/16 miles.

The third victory for Asmussen and Eramia happened in race four when Samicean (Ger) scored in a $7,500-level claiming race, paying $16 to win. Asmussen now has 13 wins for the season, leading Federico Villafranco by six victories. Asmussen is attempting to win the 13th Remington Park seasonal title of his career.
