REMINGTON PARK OPENING NIGHT FEATURES TRIALS, FULL FIELDS

OKLAHOMA CITY – The 25th Anniversary Year of racing at Remington Park gets underway Friday night with a dozen events. The start of the 2013 American Quarter Horse & Mixed-Breed Season will feature trials for the Oklahoma Paint Futurity and the Speedhorse/Graham Derby.

A total of 117 horses were entered for the 12 races (not including also eligible horses) for a time of entry average field size of 9.75. Races three thru six are trials for the Oklahoma Paint Futurity while races eight thru 10 are trials for the Speedhorse/Graham Paint & Appaloosa Derby.

The total purse money on the line for Friday evening is $134,400 with those qualifying for the finals of the Oklahoma Paint Futurity and Speedhorse/Graham Derby in line for much more.

Opening Night will also feature the first of many richly rewarding promotions for fans throughout the weekend. Quarters for Quarters invites guests to enter the drawing in the Racing Entrance lobby beginning at 5pm. Fans will be selected throughout the racing program to choose a prize bag containing at least 25 rolls of Quarters ($250)!

Superscreen Select 7, Sunday Silver Wagering Sprees and a Sunday Caps for Cash Giveaway will continue the promotional events on Saturday and Sunday of Opening Weekend.

The first race on Friday night is at 6pm.

The American Quarter Horse & Mixed-breed Season runs from March 8 and continues thru June 2. Normal post time on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays is 6pm with Sunday afternoon racing offered at 1:30pm.

Open daily at 10:30am for casino gaming and simulcast racing, Remington Park features the Bricktown Brewery on the casino floor. Admission, general parking and valet parking are always free at Remington Park.
