
The richest race date of the 2025 Thoroughbred Season at Remington Park is on Sunday, Sept. 28 … Oklahoma Derby Day!
The lone Sunday afternoon of the season has a loaded program of stakes racing and other festivities, all underway at 3pm-Central.
The Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby is the marquee race on the program, loaded with eight stakes races. The undercard is led by the $250,000 Great West Turf Sprint, the $200,000 Remington Park Oaks, the $150,000 Clever Trevor Stakes and the $100,000 David M. Vance Stakes. The derby day card features purses totaling more than $1.2 million.
Guests can compete in the annual Oklahoma Derby Day Hat & Tie Style Contest with thousands of dollars in prizes available. The free contest takes place on Track Level-North from 3-5pm. Every contestant will receive a commemorative photo.
Also at 3pm is the Derby Day Wine Tasting Festival, on Track Level-North. Guests, 21 and more, may enjoy tastings from Oklahoma’s finest wineries for just $25 for general admission and $40 for for VIP tickets. Tickets are on sale now.
Proceeds from the wine tasting festival will benefit Remington Park Charities. The wine festival continues until 7pm.
The Oklahoma Derby Day also serves as a Breeders’ Cup prep race day with plenty of divisional stakes opportunities for top horses considering the trip to Del Mar in Southern California, during the first weekend in November.
