CASTER ARRIVES WITH FIRST HORSES AT REMINGTON PARK, THOROUGHBRED PRE-SEASON TRAINING BEGINS TUESDAY
Trainer Boyd Caster was the first to bring horses into the Remington Park stable area this morning, arriving with six Thoroughbreds at 12:35am. The track stable gate opened to receive horses at Midnight.
The 2020 Thoroughbred Season at Remington Park is scheduled to begin on Aug. 21. Pre-season training will begin Tuesday, July 21 at 6pm as horses can make their initial trips to the track for exercise and workouts.
Thoroughbreds are continuing to move into their barns. The local equine population will grow dramatically over the next few days as horses arrive from other racing venues and from racing vacations at various farms. Remington Park can house 1,400 horses at capacity.
Tracked by more than 164,000 fans on Facebook and more than 10,500 Twitter followers, Remington Park has provided more than $244 Million to the State of Oklahoma general education fund since the opening of the casino in 2005.
