OKLAHOMA CITY – Cool morning temperatures in the 70s welcomed horsemen and horses back to Remington Park this morning. Trainer Mark Lee was first through the stable gate at 7am.

Lee, an Oklahoma City resident, brought six horses on the grounds with him to Barn C-1. Today is the first day horsemen can bring horses into the Remington Park stable area. Trainers Mark Buehrer, Veronica Griggs and Andy Gladd entered the stable area with horses shortly after Lee.

Tuesday morning will be the first day for training and official workouts over the main track, one month from the opening of the 2018 Thoroughbred Season on Aug. 24. The season runs 67-dates thru December 16.

Remington Park is always open, 24 hours, for casino gaming. Simulcast horse racing is presented daily beginning at approximately 11am.

Tracked by over 142,000 fans on Facebook and more than 9,700 Twitter followers, Remington Park has provided over $196 Million to the State of Oklahoma general education fund since the opening of the casino in 2005. Remington Park, home of the Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby and the Grade 3 Remington Park Oaks on Sept. 30, is Oklahoma City’s only Racetrack & Casino. Located at the junction of Interstates 35 & 44, Remington Park is in the heart of the Oklahoma City Adventure District.
