REMINGTON PARK OPENS TRACK FOR MORNING TRAINING, CRAWFORD DUO FIRST TO EXERCISE

Horses were allowed to visit the Remington Park racetrack for the first time this morning as training is underway in preparation for the upcoming 2021 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season. Trainer Clint Crawford sent the first horses to the track shortly after it opened at 7am.

B A Grand Train GL and Heavven Lee, a pair of 2-year-olds scheduled to compete in trials for the historic Oklahoma Futurity on March 6, were the first horses to train. Jockeys Jorge Torres (B A Grand Train GL) and Daniel Amaya (Heavven Lee) were up for the session.

According to Vicky Grothaus, Remington Park’s official clocker, nearly 100 horses trained this morning. Sunny skies and temperatures in the high 40s greeted today’s participants.

The 50-date spring season at Remington Park begins March 4 and continues through May 29.
