JB KOOL JESS IS THE MORNING-LINE FAVORITE FOR REMINGTON PARK FUTURITY

The $804,150 Remington Park Futurity will be the grand finale on a 12-race program Saturday, April 22. JB Kool Jess has been made the 5-2 morning-line favorite.

The Remington Park Futurity is a restricted Grade 1 event for eligible Oklahoma-bred 2-year-olds. The field of 10 will compete at 330 yards.

The top qualifier from the first of two nights of 330-yard trial heats on April 6, JB Kool Jess won his trial by an impressive two lengths to run his season and career record to a perfect two-for-two. Owned by Priscilla Arredondo of Waxahachie, Texas, JB Kool Jess is trained by Raul Rodriguez. Jockey Gaspar Garcia had the mount in the impressive trial performance and will be up again on Saturday evening.

The top qualifier from the second evening of trials, JT Im That Boy, is second in the morning-line odds at 4-1. JT Im That Boy won the final trial of the evening on April 7 by three-quarters of a length in putting up the best time of the night. Jockey Roman Cruz was up for the trial win and keeps the mount for owner Juanita Tyer of Oaks, Okla. Trainer Jeffrey Tyer has conditioned the colt by TF Im That Guy.
