TRAINING EXPECTED TO RESUME AT REMINGTON PARK, TWO DAYS OF TRAINING RACES SCHEDULED

After enduring the first winter storm of the season, Remington Park will resume training hours on Sunday, Feb. 6. American Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas were last on the racing surface on Feb. 2, prior to the arrival of two days of snow and sub-freezing temperatures.

Remington Park will also feature a pair of training race days on Wednesday, Feb. 9 and Thursday, Feb. 10. The activities will continue to ramp up as the beginning of the 2022 season approaches. The first night of action will be Thursday, March 3.

The first training (schooling) races of the season are set for 11am starts on Feb. 9-10. A total of 22 races have been scheduled over the two dates, 11 each day. These non-wagering events are utilized by horsemen to give their young athletes a dress rehearsal prior to them making their first official career starts. All horses taking part in the training races are also earning approval by the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission stewards for pari-mutuel competition.

Tracked by more than 167,000 fans on Facebook and 10,600 Twitter followers, Remington Park has provided more than $285 Million to the State of Oklahoma general education fund since the opening of the casino in 2005. Located at the junction of Interstates 35 & 44, in the heart of the Oklahoma City Adventure District, Remington Park begins the 2022 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa racing season on March 3.
