The first Saturday in May is the date for America’s best known horse race, the 151st Kentucky Derby! Remington Park will have all the winning action via simulcast from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday, May 3.
While waiting for the “Run for the Roses,” enter the extremely popular Kentucky Derby Day Hat & Tie Style Contest at Remington Park. The annual Derby Day Hat & Bowtie Style Contest returns with hundreds of competitors vying for $3,600 in total prize money.
Free to enter, the contest takes place from 2-4pm on Track level-North.
Guests 18 and older will have the opportunity to win their share of $3,600 in total prize money. The competition is available in multiple categories:
– Most Elegant
– Most Creative
– Best Bowtie
– Best Couple
Prizes are awarded to the first, second and third-place finishers in each category.
Remington Park will open mutuel windows at 9am for the early simulcast racing start from Churchill Downs at 9:30am. The Kentucky Derby simulcast will take place just after Remington Park racing has concluded, at approximately 5:30pm.
