Dress sharp, look sharp… it could reward you on Oklahoma Derby Day at Remington Park in the annual Hat & Tie Style Contest. The event is part of the derby day proceedings on Sunday, Sept. 27. The first race of the day is at 3pm.
The best dressed festivities are from 4-6pm on North Track-level. Arrive early for the races to get set for the big afternoon of racing, featuring the richest race of the season, the Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby. Then, compete in the Free style contest for cash prizes.
The contest will feature $3,600 in prize money with four style divisions for competition including: Most Elegant, Most Creative, Best Bowtie and Best Couple. The top three contestants in each division will win prize money.
The Contest is free to enter (guests must be 18 and older) and runs from 4-6pm on Sept. 27.
Enjoy great racing with the Oklahoma Derby leading a loaded program of stakes action on the only Sunday afternoon of the 2026 Thoroughbred Season.
Admission and parking are free at Remington Park where the casino is always open for your jackpot gaming play. Guests must be 18 or older to wager on horse racing or to play on the casino floor.
