Oklahoma Derby Day for 2023 takes place on Sept. 24, the lone Sunday afternoon of the season. Racing and festive activities begin at 3pm-Central.

The Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby is the marquee race with the Grade 3, $200,000 Remington Park Oaks headlining the undercard. A total of eight stakes races are scheduled for Oklahoma Derby Day, with total purses for the card at nearly $1.2 million.

Guests can compete in the annual Oklahoma Derby Day Hat & Tie Style Contest with hundreds of dollars in prizes available. The free contest takes place on Track Level-North from 3-5pm. Every contestant will receive a commemorative photo.

Also beginning at 3pm is the Derby Day Wine Tasting Festival, also on Track Level-North. Guests, 21 and more, may enjoy tastings from Oklahoma’s finest wineries for just $25.

Proceeds from the wine tasting festival will benefit Remington Park Charities. The wine festival continues until 7pm.

The Oklahoma Derby is a top Breeders’ Cup prep race for many of the nation’s 3-year-olds. The day also offers many divisional stakes-racing categories and even more Breeders’ Cup prep opportunities for top horses heading to Santa Anita in Arcadia, Calif., during the first weekend in November.

These six stakes races join the Oklahoma Derby and Remington Park Oaks on Sunday, Sept. 24:
– $100,000 David M. Vance Sprint
– $75,000 Remington Green (turf)
– $75,000 Ricks Memorial Stakes (turf)
– $75,000 Kip Deville Stakes
– $50,000 E.L. Gaylord Memorial Stakes
– $50,000 Flashy Lady Stakes

Remington Park is always open for Casino gaming with simulcast racing offered daily at 11am. Admission and Parking are always FREE at Remington Park.
