Extreme Racing

Extreme Race Day, easily the highest attended event day of the year at Remington Park, returns again in 2024 on Sunday, April 21.

The action-packed afternoon of winning, fun, food and more is presented in conjunction with the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association. The first race is at 4pm.

Extreme Racing 2024 will feature Camels, Ostriches, Zebras and more, as they compete on the main track, between the actual pari-mutuel horse races. Flying Pig Races will take place on their own track, located just north of the Plaza throughout the day.

In addition to the Extreme Animal racing, the regular horse racing will include extreme distances not normally utilized. Many races will give plaza guests an up-close sensory experience, from start to finish.

Extreme Racing will helps raise money for Remington Park’s charity partners. The exciting afternoon of fun helps many great causes as the day has become one of the top charitable fundraisers of the year at Remington Park. While in attendance, guests can take time to visit the various charitable booths located inside on the north track level, to learn more about their missions.

The Extreme races will alternate between the actual American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa races on Sunday, April 21.

All fans will have the opportunity to meet the animals up close, and take pictures, as they will be made available on the Plaza north, just past the waterfall.

Extreme Race Day always brings a capacity crowd so all guests are encouraged to arrive well before the first race at 4pm. Doing so will help alleviate traffic issues and ensure none of the extreme racing fun is missed by being late.
