The 2026 Oklahoma Derby is set for Sunday, Sept. 27 at Remington Park. The richest racing program of the Thoroughbred Season features an afternoon of top-notch racing and festivities.
Oklahoma Derby Day is the lone Sunday afternoon of the season with the action underway at 3pm-Central.
The Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby is the marquee race on a card featuring eight stakes races. The undercard is led by the $250,000 Great West Turf Sprint, the $200,000 Remington Park Oaks, the $150,000 Clever Trevor Stakes and the $100,000 David M. Vance Stakes. The derby day card features purses totaling more than $1.3 million.
Guests can compete in the annual Oklahoma Derby Day Hat & Tie Style Contest with thousands of dollars in prizes available. The free contest takes place on Track Level-North from 3-5pm. Every contestant will receive a commemorative photo.
Also at 3pm is the Derby Day Wine Garden Festival opens, this year on the garden grounds of the north track plaza. Guests, 21 and more, may enjoy tastings from Oklahoma’s finest wineries. Tickets are $40. Proceeds from the wine tasting festival will benefit Remington Park Cares Charities.
The Oklahoma Derby Day serves as a Breeders’ Cup prep race day with plenty of divisional stakes opportunities for top horses being considered to compete at Keeneland in Lexington, Ky. on Oct. 30 & 31.

OKLAHOMA DERBY DAY HAT & BOWTIE STYLE CONTEST
Dress sharp, look sharp… it could reward you on Oklahoma Derby Day at Remington Park in the annual Hat & Tie Style Contest. The event is part of the derby day proceedings on Sunday, Sept. 27. The first race of the day is at 3pm.
The best dressed festivities are from 4-6pm on North Track-level. Arrive early for the races to get set for the big afternoon of racing, featuring the richest race of the season, the Grade 3, $400,000 Oklahoma Derby. Then, compete in the Free style contest for cash prizes.
The contest will feature $3,600 in prize money with four style divisions for competition including: Most Elegant, Most Creative, Best Bowtie and Best Couple. The top three contestants in each division will win prize money.
The Contest is free to enter (guests must be 18 and older) and runs from 4-6pm on Sept. 27.

OKLAHOMA DERBY DAY WINE FESTIVAL GARDEN
The Oklahoma Derby Day Wine Festival is back at Remington Park with a garden party on Sunday, Sept. 27!
Remington Park’s richest race day of the season, Oklahoma Derby Day, features a tremendous afternoon of racing and the annual wine festival, held in the garden area on the north track plaza.
The only Sunday afternoon of racing for the Thoroughbred season begins at 3pm with the Wine Festival Garden underway at the same time. Tickets are available for $40. Proceeds from the Oklahoma Derby Wine Festival will benefit Remington Park Cares Charities.
Oklahoma’s finest wineries will provide tastings as part of the activities.
