OAK HILL MAGIC POSTS FIRST OFFICIAL WORKOUT OF REMINGTON PARK PRESEASON
Thursday morning gate training was the norm this morning at Remington Park as the first official workout of the preseason was recorded by Oak Hill Magic.
Trained by Telma Loya, Oak Hill Magic worked under sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 30s. The Remington Park track was muddy after rain and some light snow on Wednesday. Under jockey Bryan Candanosa, Oak Hill Magic covered 250 yards from the gate in :14.71 handily.
Oak Hill Magic is a 2-year old Louisiana-bred gelding by AJs Fast Dash from the Mr Jess Perry broodmare Ms Wandas Magic.
A dozen 250-yard gate workouts were recorded Thursday morning, the fastest going to Eyem Onn Fire and King Of Woodbridge who broke from the gate together for trainer Jose Huerta, finishing on even terms in :13.75 handily.
Remington Park begins the 2023 American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa Season on March 9.
