FRIDAY NIGHT STAKES HISTORIES, T BONES TRICK SETS BEST TIME ON THURSDAY NIGHT
Thunderstorms featuring plenty of close-striking lightning forced the cancelation of the final five races on Thursday, Nov. 7 at Remington Park.
Tonight’s program is still set for 6:30pm-Central. More rain is in the forecast and the main track is sloppy. We are Off the Turf.
There are three Oklahoma-bred stakes races this evening. The Slide Show, Silver Goblin and the Don McNeill will take place in races three, seven and eight respectively. All three races feature the return of a recent Oklahoma Classics victor from Oct. 18.
Here’s a quick look at the histories of those races:
$50,000 SLIDE SHOW STAKES
Race 3 (approximately 7:28 p.m.), 1 mile, 2-year-old Oklahoma-bred fillies
The race is named in honor of the talented Oklahoma-bred filly who won 11 races in a row at Remington Park in a career that spanned 1993-1996.

Seven others tied with one.
Kevin Scholl won the race last year with Miss Code West.
Jockeys
Nine jockeys tied with one win in the nine-year series:
Floyd Wethey, Jr., won last year aboard Miss Code West for Kevin Scholl.
Prior to that it was Leandro Goncalves, Jose Alvarez, Ramon Vazquez, Lori Keith, Kevin Roman, Luis Quinonez, Jareth Loveberry and C.J. McMahon. Those were from 2015-2023. There were also two runnings of this race in 1999-2000 with jockeys R.D. Williams and Don Pettinger winning.

T Bones Trick Posts New Top Time for the Season
When he crossed the finish-line in front during the second race Thursday, Nov. 7 at Remington Park, T Bones Trick set a new season-best time for the 1 mile-70 yard distance.
Under Richard Eramia, T Bones Trick handled the measure in 1:42.80 over the fast track, about an hour before thunderstorms ended the racing program prematurely.
Equus had the previous best season time at 1 mile-70 yards, winning in 1:43.28 here on Sept. 19.
T Bones Trick is an 8-year-old gelding owned by Tony Bartscher and trained by Wade Rarick. He is by Midnight Lute from the Dixie Union mare Hopeful Union and was bred in Kentucky by Tenlane Farm.
The Thursday win for T Bones Trick was his first of this Remington Park season and his 15th career victory from 57 attempts. He has accumulated $283,264 overall since starting out at Santa Anita in Arcadia, Calif. in 2019.
