WEATHER CLEARS FOR SATURDAY NIGHT CARD AT REMINGTON PARK

After thunderstorms canceled the final five races on the Thursday, Nov. 7 program, then all-day rain Friday kept the main track sloppy, Remington Park moves to Saturday with a much better atmosphere.

The rough weather cleared out late Friday, leaving a bright and sunny fall Saturday to help dry surfaces. Despite the appearance, the strength of nature will not allow turf racing this evening, as it is still too damp, so Remington Park is off the turf tonight. The main track is expected to start with a condition of muddy.

The nine-race program begins at 6:30pm-Central.

Accelerate Judy Bullets Sloppy Work Saturday Morning
Friday rains created a sloppy main track for Saturday morning training at Reminton Park. The “dogs” were up on the track as well. No situation seemed to bother Accelerate Judy as she posted a bullet four-furlong work.

A 4-year-old filly, Accelerate Judy flew around the “dogs,” covering her four furlongs in :47.91 handily. She was the only worker of 12 at the distance to post a time under 50-seconds.

Owned by Jeffry and Julie Puryear of Denton, Texas and trained by Kevin Scholl, Accelerate Judy is a Kentucky-bred by Accelerate from the Allen’s Prospect mare Maryland Monroe.

Accelerate Judy finished third in her only start of the Remington Park season on Sept. 4, in an conditional allowance event at six furlongs. In that race, she was 5-1/2 lengths behind Holly Dolly who has won all four of her starts this season, including a score in the Flashy Lady Stakes on Sept. 29.

Both career wins for Accelerate Judy came at Remington Park in 2023. Overall she has 14 starts, two wins, one second and six third-place finishes for career earnings of $77,650.
