WINNING FAVORITES ABOUND AT REMINGTON PARK, NEW HIGH SHOW PAYOFF, FINAL CHANCE TO ENTER THOROENDURO
If you love playing favorites in horse racing, then Remington Park may be track for you. The favorites are finding the winner’s circle more than four times from every 10 races.
Through racing of Nov. 2, Remington Park has conducted 398 races over 44 race dates. The wagering favorite has won 168 of those events, a rate of 42.2%.
Breaking the overall stat out even more… there have been 261 sprint races (one turn) with 110 winning favorites, also 42.1%. In route races (two turns), the favorite has been the winner 58 times from 137 opportunities, a rate of 42.3%.
New High Show Payoff
The eighth race on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Remington Park, a maiden special weight event for Oklahoma-bred 2-year-old fillies, produced a new season-high show payoff.
Gospel Share finished second in the six-furlong race and paid $62.20 to show to set the new top mark for that wager. The filly is a daughter of Girvin from the Istan mare Witticism, owned, trained and bred by Steve Williams of Wagoner, Okla.
Gospel Share was ridden by Isaiah Wiseman who helped the filly find her first in-the-money finish from three career attempts this season at Remington Park. It was the first time Wiseman had been aboard Gospel Share.
Final Call for ThoroEnduro
Tonight’s card at Remington Park is the final opportunity for players to enter the free ThoroEnduro contest. The grand prize for the contest is a seat to the 2025 National Horseplayers Championship in Las Vegas. That annual contest offers prize money in the millions of dollars.
Register and make entries before 6pm-Central for tonight’s races.
From this point in ThoroEnduro, to the end of the contest and season (scheduled for Dec. 13), once a contestant has been placed “In The Barn” and has lost all of their contest lives/Lucky Horseshoes, they will not be able to get back into the game the next week. Now, once a contestant is out, they are out for the remainder of the game and not eligible for prizes.
Contestants must complete the entire season of ThoroEnduro with eligibility (contest lives) remaining in order to compete for prizes.
OFF Turf for Wednesday
Between 6 and 7 inches of rain fell at Remington Park from Saturday afternoon, Nov. 2 through Monday morning, Nov. 4. The super-soaking has left the turf course too moist for racing this evening.
Through the first 42 race dates, weather did not move any turf racing from the grass to the main track. Now, weather is in a power-rally to tamper with racing, moving the turf races to the main track for a second-consecutive program. Saturday, Nov. 2 racing was also moved from the turf to the main track.
Wednesday’s second race will now be run at one mile on the main track. Tonight’s sixth and ninth races will also go at one mile on the main track.
The Remington Park main track is Fast.
The first race tonight, the 45th date of the season, is at 6:30pm-Central.
