
Racing on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Remington Park goes extreme once again bringing the festive season in early with another edition of the Holiday Showdown, presented by the Thoroughbred Racing Association of Oklahoma.
This special event of holiday flair and interactions will begin prior to the evening’s first Thoroughbred race at 6pm. Action includes special races on the track, with holiday character fun, plenty of photo opportunities, costume contests and more. Guests can also visit and take photos with reindeers and Santa who will have commemorative bells for his first 200 visitors.
There will be an OKC Ballet cast appearance and other outdoor fun including an inflatable wonderland at the racing entrance, a petting zoo, carnival games, holiday shopping marketplace, an adoptable dogs area and more.
The special races include a Nexus pets “Furever Home for the Holidays” race, a jockey stick-horse race, an all-holiday character race and a Christmas characters race.
The Holiday Showdown events will be distributed throughout Remington Park with booths and interactive stations on the track level inside, the track plaza outside and on the clubhouse level. There will also be Food Trucks available on the north track plaza.
Remington Park has multiple options for groups to enjoy the Holiday Showdown and Thoroughbred racing up close from the Plaza. Packages offered next to the race track provide a private area with controlled entry, lawn games and more.

The Holiday Showdown will help raise proceeds for Remington Park Charity partners who will be in attendance for awareness of their causes, while participating in the night.
The Holiday Showdown will open for guests at 5pm with the initial special race of the night will take place at 5:45pm., just before the start of the night’s Thoroughbred racing at 6pm.
Parking and admission are free at Remington Park where the casino is always open.
