Extreme Race Day, featuring top American Quarter Horse racing action with the added fun of camel, ostrich and zebra racing, will return to Remington Park on Sunday, April 12.
The action-packed afternoon is presented in conjunction with the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association. The first race is at 4pm.
Extreme Racing 2026 will feature Camels, Ostriches, Zebras and more, as they compete on the main track, between the actual pari-mutuel horse races. Flying Pig Races will take place on their own track, located just north of the Plaza throughout the day.
In addition to the Extreme Animal racing, the regular horse racing will include extreme distances, long and short, not normally utilized. Many races will give plaza guests an up-close sensory experience, from start to finish.
A great variety of group packages are available to better enjoy the Extreme Racing at Remington Park. Package options include Penthouse Suites, Eclipse room tables, Bricktown Brewery, Henry Hudson’s Patio, Special Picnic on the Plaza and VIP Rail Boxes on the Plaza.
Extreme Racing is a major event date that helps raise money for Remington Park Charities. The exciting afternoon of fun benefits many great causes as the day has become one of the top charitable fundraisers of the year at Remington Park. While in attendance, guests can visit the various charitable booths located inside on the north track level, to learn more about their missions.
The Extreme races will alternate between the actual American Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa races on Sunday, April 12.
All fans will have the opportunity to meet the animals up close, and take pictures, as they will be made available on the Plaza south, just past the waterfall.
Extreme Race Day always brings a capacity crowd so all guests are encouraged to arrive well before the first race at 4pm. Doing so will help alleviate traffic issues to avoid being late and missing out on any of the fun racing action.
