
The Kentucky Derby, America’s most famous horse race, will be featured via simulcast at Remington Park on Saturday, May 2. Enjoy all the festivities, fashion, flair and food of a great 152nd Kentucky Derby Day, along with a stellar Remington Park card of racing.
The action starts early at 9:30am with simulcast racing featured from the home of the Kentucky Derby, Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. The Remington Park racing will also start earlier than normal with the first race at Noon.
The Remington Park racing will feature a pair of top graded events for American Quarter Horses. The Grade 1 Leo Stakes, a $100,000 affair, will challenge many of the top older horses in the sport as they battle 400 yards. The Leo is the final major prep race for the Debbie Schauf Remington Park Championship at the end of the season.
The long-distance horses get their due on the afternoon as well with the Grade 2, $50,000 Pauls Valley Stakes. The 870-yard race features many of the sports top turn runners.
Remington Park will open mutuel windows at 9am for the early simulcast racing from Churchill Downs that begins at 9:30am. The Kentucky Derby simulcast will take place just after Remington Park racing has concluded, at approximately 5:30pm.

11am – Bricktown Brewery and Henry Hudson’s open
NOON – First Remington Park race
5:30pm (approx.) – Kentucky Derby simulcast from Churchill Downs
Please note, Advance Wagering will be available on Friday, May 1 at Remington Park, to allow fans to bet the Kentucky Derby prior to the big Saturday.

KENTUCKY DERBY HAT & BOWTIE CONTEST
The first Saturday in May is the date for America’s best known horse race, the 152nd Kentucky Derby! Remington Park will have all the winning action via simulcast from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky. on Saturday, May 3.
While waiting for the “Run for the Roses,” enter the extremely popular Kentucky Derby Day Hat & Tie Style Contest at Remington Park. Free to enter, the contest takes place from 2-4pm on Track level-North.
Guests 18 and older will have the opportunity to win their share of prize money. The competition is available in multiple categories:
– Most Elegant
– Most Creative
– Best Bowtie
– Best Couple
Prizes are awarded to the first, second and third-place finishers in each category.
