ELECTRIC TALES POSTS FASTEST TRAINING RACE ON THURSDAY AT REMINGTON PARK

Electric Tales, a 2-year-old Paint filly, blasted to the fastest time of 11 training races on Thursday, Feb. 10 at Remington Park. She bested her six Paint and Appaloosa rivals, easily winning by 1-1/2 lengths in the final schooling event of the afternoon.

Electric Tales handled 250 yards in :13.77 over a fast track, under jockey Cody Smith, good for a speed index of 73. Her time was the best for the Paint and Appaloosa ranks, as well as the best of the day overall. Electric Tales enjoyed sunny skies with temperature at 61 degrees and a slight tailwind of 9mph from the northwest.

Bred in Oklahoma by Taylor Farms, Electric Tales is owned by Kyle & Kelly Taylor of Woodward, Okla. She is a daughter of Wagon Tales from the CRM Livewire broodmare Sparketta. Trained by Ty Blackwell, expect Electric Tales to be part of the major races for Paints and Appaloosas throughout the upcoming 2022 spring season at Remington Park.

Remington Park hosts the training, or schooling, races as non-wagering events, utilized by horsemen to give their young athletes a dress rehearsal prior to them making their first official career starts. All horses taking part in the training races are also earning approval by the Oklahoma Horse Racing Commission stewards for pari-mutuel competition.

The 50-date Remington Park season begins on Thursday, March 3 and will continue through May 28. The first of many big-money futurities for Paints and Appaloosas will take place on Saturday, March 19 when the Grade 1, $175,000 (estimated) Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity is contested.
